Man proposing to girlfriend at baseball game drops ring

A nervous Yankees fan’s proposal to his girlfriend in front of a packed stadium got unbelievably awkward when he dropped the ring and lost it.

Footage from the game broadcast shows Andrew Fox and his partner Heather Terwilliger looking crestfallen as they frantically search for the missing diamond ring.

“I literally started crying because I thought it was lost,” Fox told ESPN. “It happened so fast.”

The crowd around the pair all join in on the hunt, which lasts for several excruciating minutes – before Terwilliger checks the bottom cuff of her jeans.

“We got it!” an announcer shouts as a relieved Terwilliger holds the ring up for her future husband to see.

The stadium erupts with a deafening roar.

“Way better than the game,” one of the announcers quips.
