Show off kite surfer suffers nasty wipeout

A kite surfer has learned the hard way about the pit falls of peer pressure after being egged on by his mates to perform a mid-air loop and suffering a nasty wipeout.

Mucking around in tropical waters, minus his board, the kite rider was being lifted from the water when a friend yelled out for him to "loop it".

Without hesitation the man followed the call as he was projected almost 20m into the air before it all went horribly wrong.

With the kite upside down and no draft to hold it up, the man was sent plunging into the azure water below with an almighty back slam, as his friends can be heard yelling in dismay

The footage was shot in 2013 but has recently gone viral again with over 250,000 views.

And while it's believed the man was uninjured the popularity of the footage should at least soothe his aching pride and back.
