'Warnie' delivery misses wicket, hits 'Joey'

Rugby League legend Andrew Johns dropped into the SCG to catch up with the crew from the Cricket Show – and he won’t be forgetting the visit anytime soon.

Johns joined Michael Slater, Mark Taylor and Shane Warne at the practice nets to face a couple of overs from arguably the greatest spin bowler of all time, and things didn’t go smoothly for ‘Joey’.

After smacking a few balls into the side netting with gusto, Warne had a little surprise for Johns.

The king of spin produced a flipper for the former halfback and let’s just say the ball hit the target, but not the wickets.

Johns attempts to smack Warne down the wicket but the ball deviated once it bounced and struck Johns in the family jewels.

Slater and Taylor started cracking up after the delivery, while Johns cupped his man region in despair.

However the rugby league immortal did have time to joke after being stunned by the delivery.

"You might have done me a favour," he said.
