Forget about the Ultimate Fighting Championships, this is the ultimate fighting mismatch.

In one corner stood a 31-year-old 1.87m powerhouse fighter by the name of Gabi Garcia. In a match-up that defies belief, her opponent was 30cm shorter and 20-years older.

That’s right, a 52-year-old woman by name of Megumi Yabushita who lists her profession as professional wrestler was thrown into combat with MMA fighter Garcia.

Gabi Garcia and a massive size, and age advantage.

Once you get over the difference in physical size between the pair and bout commences, it quickly becomes apparent that Garcia was unaware of most of the rules in this Shoot Boxing match.

Kicking was allowed in this contest, but not when your opponent is on the ground.

Garcia doesn’t appear to know this, and even after a warning she continues her attack when Yabushita is on the canvas.

One particular kick makes solid contact and the Japanese fighter stays down.

In the end the bout is declared a no-contest after Yabushita is unable to continue.

Perhaps this was a fitting way to end this most bizarre of bouts.

This isn’t the first time such a mismatched bout has taken place in Japan, and it won’t be the last.
