UFC fans and commentators have been left stunned after a fighter suffered a badly dislocated arm following a submission move at UFC 263.

Jamahal Hill's left arm was left badly dislocated after he was stuck in an arm bar against submission expert Paul Craig, with Craig eventually securing a TKO victory with a series of elbows and punches.

Fans were left stunned that the fight was allowed to continue with Hill's arm left flopping around after the dislocation.

"It's flopping around. It's completely broken. Look at his arm just flopping around. That is crazy," Joe Rogan said on commentary.

Eventually referee Al Guinee stepped in to call the fight, but the commentary team was left less than impressed with the delay in his decision.

"Just stop it. Just stop it. Just stop it: That is so nasty," Rogan continued.

"That should have been stopped way before," Paul Felder added.

"When the ref sees that thing dangling around and flopping all over the place, I think it's time to stop the fight."

Following the fight, Craig admitted that he could tell that there was an issue with Hill's fight, but expressed little sympathy for his opponent.

"You either tap, nap, or it snaps. Tonight it happened to snap," he said.

"I felt it go ... it's the ref's job to protect my opponent. My job's to finish the fight.

"It was like a wet fish just dancing all over my body."
