Best of Days takes out Kennedy Mile
Godolphin has capped a memorable Victoria Derby day with Best Of Days winning the Group One Kennedy Mile.
Best Of Days relished the addition of blinkers to thread his way through field and defeat the 2016 winner Le Romain with Peaceful State finishing third.
The win gave Godolphin’s Australian trainer James Cummings his third success for the meeting after Ranier and Osborne Bulls saluted.

The Wakeful Stakes is a Group 2 race for 3yo fillies run over a distance of 2000m.
Connections will take home $300,000 in prizemoney for the win.
The 2017 Wakeful Stakes was won by Luvaluva from Glam Guru with Rimraam third.
Twelve fillies will be racing with one eye towards Thursday’s Group 1 Kennedy Oaks (2500m) but from all reports it seems it’s like Verry Elleegant’s race to lose.
