Hockey players go nude for a cause

A university hockey team in England has made worldwide headlines after its players decided to combat homophobia in sport by stripping naked.

The 17 players from the University of Nottingham captured their bold stunt on camera, filming themselves doing the 'full monty' before embarking on routine training drills - and a game - in the buff.The young men apparently wanted to help a university-led Voice Your Rights Project, whose mission is for all people "to live in a society in which every person is respected and treated as equals.""When we asked the club if they'd be up for it, they didn't hesitate at all," project leader Dimitri Vichas told Britain's The Mirror."As soon as they arrived on the day of the filming they were asking, 'When do we get to take our clothes off?' They couldn't wait."The Voice Your Rights Project is adamant it's time for gay athletes to come out of the closet, citing the single openly gay athlete - out of 541 participants - who competed on England's Olympic team in 2014. Their university's hockey team has certainly helped them in their cause.
