Hayne pranksters run riot in Adelaide

The "Hayne Plane" has landed in Adelaide – or at least an imitator of the Aussie code-hopper - with hilarious consequences.

Serial pranksters Richy Sandham and Mark Reynolds, also known as "The Royal Stampede", hit the streets of the AFL-centric city to gauge the impact of the San Francisco 49ers rookie and had locals scratching their heads.

In a series of skits with a Jackass flavour, Reynolds kitted himself out in the NFL side's uniform, complete with the 49ers' gold helmet and Hayne's No.38 jersey, to side-step and tackle his way around the town.

Using a mate posing as an unsuspecting shopper, the joker launched into a heavy shoulder charge to floor his victim as onlookers watched with bemusement.

He then hit the beach for a game of gridiron and also tangled with a couple of women on their morning walk, one of who questions if she is still drunk.

And while many appeared perplexed by the gags, the footage proved a light-hearted sidebar to the Hayne-mania sweeping the nation.
