Former World No.1 Jiyai Shin's appetite has changed from the adrenaline rush of sky-diving to munching meat pies.

When South Korean Shin last played the Ladies Masters on the Gold Coast in 2013, she scheduled a sky-dive during tournament week.

This visit, her indulgence is meat pies.

"When I arrived in Australia, I checked my bucket list and the biggest thing missing was meat pies," she said.

"One of the first things I did in Adelaide last week for the Australian Open was to go to the meat pie shop. I love them so much I want to take some home to Japan."

Shin demolished a pie minutes before she hit off in Wednesday's pro-am at Royal Pines and also persuaded her Japanese caddie to sample the fare.

"It is his first time here and, because he is new to Australia, I wanted to introduce him to the famous meat pie," she said.

Shin, who quit the lucrative LPGA Tour at the end of 2013 to campaign primarily in Japan, will tee off at 7.35pm in Thursday's opening round.
