Minjee Lee heading to Melbourne for home Open in hopes of 'breaking the Aussie drought'
Aussie golf superstar Minjee Lee has confirmed she will be heading to Melbourne later this month to play her home Open.
The 28-year-old world No.17 joins a star-studded field for the women's event to be played in conjunction with the men's across two courses on Melbourne's sandbelt.
The Australian Open - which will be broadcast on Nine and 9Now - will be played from November 28 to December 1 at Kingston Heath and The Victoria clubs.

Lee - a two-time major winner - will tee it up alongside two-time reigning champion Ashleigh Buhai from South Africa, as well as the likes of fellow West Australian Hannah Green and other major winners Danielle Kang and Jiyai Shin.
Lee last year finished second in Sydney behind Buhai.
The Perth product has finished in the top-five of the tournament in four of the past six years.

"Both the women's and men's fields look really good, and for me it is going to be great fun going head-to-head with Ash after her success in this event and all the Aussie girls, especially Hannah who has had such a great year on the LPGA," Lee said on Friday.
"Although it has been a long year playing all over the world, I'm very much looking forward to finishing my run of tournaments at the Australian Open that is always one of the most special events of the year.
"Winning an Australian Open title would mean so much to me, and breaking the Aussie drought would make it extra special, especially after my close call last year in Sydney.
"That event was huge, and I'd love to see crowds like that again in Melbourne."

Lee will be playing at the same time her younger brother and PGA Tour star Min Woo is vying for the men's title.
Min Woo - 26 years old and world No.44 - won last year's Australian PGA Championship in Queensland but couldn't back it up with victory in Sydney.
This year he joins the likes of international stars Joaquin Niemann, Cameron Smith, Marc Leishman, Lucas Herbert, Cam Davis, Victor Perez, Nicolas Colsaerts, Harry Higgs and Karl Vilips in the Australian Open field.
The Australian PGA Championship will be played a week earlier in Brisbane.
