Girl makes crunching tackle on boy

Here’s a video that tackles misconceptions about girls participating in contact sports.

During a Michigan High school game, female backup kicker Katherine Ristola proved she’s not to be toyed with.

Ristola kicked off  and trailed behind the play in case someone made a break.

All of a sudden the Opposition team’s kick returner breaks into the clear, only to be met by Ristola raced on the sideline.

The female footballer lifted the ball carrier off his feet with a chest-high tackle.

Apparently Ristola doesn't shy away from contact, according to teammate Connor Drake.

"She doesn't need protection," Drake told the Detroit Free Press. "She's tough. She can handle herself. We don't worry about her."
