Germany damage their World Cup trophy
Germany are counting the cost of wild World Cup celebrations after the champions damaged their trophy.
DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach confirmed to German newspaper Die Welt that “a small piece of our World Cup trophy was chipped off."
However, Niersbach said the damage would be easily fixed and vowed to hunt down the responsible party for the ding.
But the Germans need not worry, they aren’t the only victors to celebrate too hard with their spoils …
