'I'm gone anyway': Ange Postecoglou says 'general sentiment' points to Spurs exit
A reflective Ange Postecoglou admitted the "general sentiment" is that he will not be in charge at Tottenham next season as most overlook some of the positive things the side had achieved this season.
The Spurs sit 14th in the Premier League amid a tough season with injuries leading to speculation around the Australian's job.
Tottenham faces Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday morning (AEST) in the quarter-final of the Europa League at home, with Spurs desperate to change the story of their season.

Yet Postecoglou said changing hearts and minds about Tottenham's campaign won't be easy, referring to an opinion piece that stated a Europa League win won't even save him.
"(Someone) wrote that even if we win it (the Europa League), I'm gone anyway. That's not having a go at you, that's just saying the general sentiment of people. So if you're trying to use that as a motivation, you're not going to win that anyway.

"There's got to be something more in it for us … We've been through a really tough time but we're still in a position where we can make an impact."
He added: "I just think we're in that position now where even good stuff we may do is going to be turned into some sort of a glass half-(empty) rhetoric and from that perspective I don't think that can be a driver in what we want to do."
Postecoglou stood up for his players amid the chatter and said the poor results was not from a lack of trying.
"I get that they (the fans) are frustrated and angry," he said.
"At the same time, I understand the criticism towards me. But if anyone looked at the players and said they aren't trying – then I am sorry they are not watching the right game."
