Juventus fans were left surprised when an announcement on the club's social media appeared to confirm the signing of Real Madrid's teen sensation Arda Guler.

The post published on Juventus' English X account on Monday was deemed as product of a hacker, with the 19-year-old international pictured walking through the airport.

The image was captioned: "Welcome to Juventus. The rising star of football is now part of the Juventus family."

The Serie A giants confirmed on the club's Italian X account that the English profile had been "compromised."

Juventus asked fans to "ignore the false information being published" on the account as the club continued to work on restoring control.

The announcement amassed nearly 1.5 million views and thousands of comments before it was deleted.

The teenager was a breakout star for Turkey during the nation's Euro 2024 campaign, where they reached the quarter finals.

Gubler was dubbed the 'Turkish Messi' when he departed Fenerbahce in 2023, signing with Real Madrid for roughly $27 million AUD.
