Minnesota United keeper scores ridiculous own goal

Goalkeepers don't often get the chance to get their names on the score sheet and Minnesota United's Sammy Ndjock will be wishing he never got his name up in lights.

The young keeper was playing in a pre-season friendly against touring Bournemouth when he scored an own goal that will be endlessly looped for its sheer absurdity.

He had comfortably collected a cross and when he sighted a player of his own on the other side of the field went to throw the ball to him.

But instead of the ball being flung off to his teammate, it stuck in Ndjock's hand and he managed to hurl it toward his own goal.

He desperately scrambled back to try to stop it from rolling in, but his mad, flailing and ultimately fruitless dash only added to the absurdity of the goal.

It's tough, but on the bright side, it's not going to ever get any worse. Hopefully.
