Footballer headbutts, breaks referee's nose

A footballer in Romania's lower leagues is facing a lifetime ban from the sport after a shocking attack on a referee.

The player had just been pulled up for shoving and tripping a rival and reacted savagely when the referee went to show him a red card.Without warning, he sprints toward the official and lunges at him with a headbutt that connects with the ref's face.As astonishing as the attack was, even more remarkable was the fact that the referee immediately picked himself up from the ground before casually walking to the sideline for treatment.It was later confirmed he'd suffered a broken nose, with his attacker set to front a league tribunal where he's expected to be banned from football for life.Of all the attacks we've seon on officials around the world, this easily rates as one of the worst.
