Bryant welcomes Gerrard to LA Galaxy

Tinseltown is already rolling out the red carpet for Steven Gerrard after it was confirmed the Liverpool captain will move to the LA Galaxy at the end of the season with NBA superstar Kobe Bryant welcoming the Reds skipper in a video message on the club website.

Bryant, a football fan, hopes that Gerrard’s move to Hollywood will result in another MLS title for the Galaxy, who will be the defending champions next season after winning a record fifth title last year.

“I’m looking forward to getting out there and watching you do your thing,” Byrant said.

The LA Lakers star also reveals that he has been a long-time fan of Liverpool’s inspirational skipper.

“I’ve been a fan of yours for a very, very long time, your versatility, your aggressiveness and your leadership,” Bryant said.

“Enjoy, and kick some arse in the process and I’ll be down there rooting you on.”
