Egyptian amputee plays ping pong with mouth

Powered by

An Egyptian man born without arms has shown his astonishing ability to play table tennis using a racquet held in his mouth.

In a video entitled "Nothing is Impossible", Ibrahim Hamato shows his remarkable accuracy essentially using just his neck and shoulder muscles.

What's more incredible is the amputee's serve, which involves kicking the ball off the top of his foot and striking it with the racquet in his mouth.

Hamato lost his arms in an accident when he was ten years old, but did not want to give up on his favourite sport.

"Nothing is impossible if you work hard," Hamato said.

The video shows Hamato holding his own against former world champion Wang Hao at the World Team Table Tennis Championships in Tokyo.
