Dutch hockey star's World Cup death stare

Powered by

A Dutch hockey player has given the death stare of all death stares after a TV camera kept its glare on her as she had her upper thigh strapped up during a world cup game.

Naomi van As was being attended to on the sidelines during the Netherlands game against Belgium at The Hague on Monday when the camera delved in for a closer look.

A male trainer is seen strapping the very upper part of van As's thigh as she holds her dress up for him to access the area.

The shot, provided by public broadcaster NOS, stays on the 30-year-old forward/midfielder until she realises she is being filmed, and proceeds to yank down her dress and deliver a gaze Foreign Minister Julie Bishop would be proud of.

The shot quickly changes back to the action on the field after van As's death stare.

The Netherlands beat Belgium 4-0.
