Cyclist celebrates victory, then loses
An American cross-country cyclist has endured an embarrassing second-placing after being pipped on the line while celebrating too early.
Ellen Noble had dominated a race north of New York, but when she raised her arms in triumph down the final straight, little did she know that a rival was speeding home behind her.
Arley Kemmerer proved that it's never too late and, clearly benefitting from her rival's showboating, took the win with a desperate lunge at the line. It joins sport's most famous premature celebrations...
