Wiggins pokes fun at Froome by jumping off bike

During the Tour of Britain Sir Bradley Wiggins couldn't help but have a little fun at Chris Froome's expense.

In what appeared to be a tongue-in-cheek gesture, the former Tour de France winner jumped off his bike during a climb and began to run with his bike.

It was a likely tip of the hat to Froome, who ran up the slopes of Mont Ventoux during this year's Tour de France after he was knocked off his bike.

Wiggins jumped off his bike and ran along the road Kirkstone Pass in the Lake District.

While Wiggins' former Team Sky teammate left his bike behind, "Wiggo" as he's affectionately known, decided it would be best if he took his bike along for the light jog.

Roadside spectator Lee Black took a photo of Wiggins, and posted it on Instagram – which was then shared by Wiggins himself, with the comment: "Taking things very seriously at the top of the Struggle, took my mind off being in a world of pain #onetomanyginandtonics".
