Beth Mooney becomes first female cricketer to notch centuries across all three formats

Beth Mooney will soon have her named etched next to Australian teammate Annabel Sutherland's at the MCG, after reaching her century on day three of the Women's Ashes Test.
Mooney notched her ton early on day three, also becoming the first woman to hit an international century across all three formats.
It means the MCG will get to write a second woman's name in as many days on their century honour board.

Sutherland notched up her maiden Test century on day two, going on to make 163 off 258 balls, after being dropped twice in her innings by England.
Mooney's run on day two left her nervous on 98 not out at stumps, before she burst onto the scene early on Saturday to bring up the ton with two runs.

The veteran didn't last too much longer at the crease, as she was bowled by Lauren Filer for 106 off 173.
Now, Mooney's name and total will go up alongside Sutherland's which was revealed by the MCG on Saturday morning.
"A very, very special addition to the MCG honour boards," the MCG social media account said, along with a photo of Sutherland's name.

The new name on the honour board left cricket fans excited.
"A sign of the times. Brilliant MCG," said photographer Wayne Ludbey.

Others lauded the MCG for keeping the women's achievements alongside the men.
"I love this. No asterisk. No reference to it being different. It's an Australian Test century at the MCG. End of story," one user said on X.
Australia took a 270-run lead into the innings break, with England's Sophie Ecclestone managing to take 5-143 after a disappointing outing for her side.
