Boult shaping up well for day-night Test

Trent Boult's chances of playing the day-night Test have rocketed, with the New Zealand paceman bowling at good pace in the nets on Wednesday.

Boult started the three-Test series underdone and was in doubt for the final Test against Australia in Adelaide starting on Friday due to a back injury.

However, the left-armer showed few signs of discomfort while bowling eight overs at Adelaide Oval on Wednesday.

Five of those overs were at "full intensity" according to NZ coach Mike Hesson.

Hesson and captain Brendon McCullum will make a decision on Boult on Thursday.

Provided the swing specialist pulls up well he's likely to play the historic clash under lights with the pink ball.
