Shane Warne has lit up a local club game in Melbourne in his latest comeback to cricket.

The 46-year-old king of spin guided his former junior club East Sandringham to a first innings victory on Saturday ahead of the Cricket All Stars series in the US where he will face Indian great Sachin Tendulkar.

Warne starred with both bat and ball, taking 2-31 in the first innings as East Sandringham's SECA Cricket rivals Bentleigh ANA were dismissed for 73.He then scored a breezy 38-ball 40 at first drop.

Warne added 2-17 in the second innings as Bentleigh ANA crawled to 5-35 at stumps, making an outright victory next weekend a virtual certainty.

It was Warne’s first appearance for his junior club since 2008 when he played in a T20 match.

The Cricket All Stars stars next month in New York.
