Two wickets and a six in thrilling BBL finish

There have been some insane finishes in the BBL but nothing like the thriller between Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers at Docklands.

With the Scorchers only needing nine to win off the final over, Scorchers captain Aaron Finch took it upon himself to bowl to try and close out the match.

It was a risky move by the part-time spinner but he tasted success on his second ball when Mitch Marsh was caught at long on trying to slog a full toss.

He then had the Scorchers reeling at 6-142 after running out Adam Voges in a brilliant piece of fielding which saw him chase down the ball before turning and throwing in one motion.

With talk of a super over looming with only one ball left and the Scorchers needing three to win, Finch tossed up a rank full toss which Ashton Agar pulled over midwicket for six.

It capped off a memorable finish to what had been a tension-filled final over.
