This could be a $1 million catch

A New Zealand cricket fan is in line to claim a NZ$1 million ($970,000) prize if the Black Caps win the World Cup after taking a one-handed catch in the crowd while balancing a beer.

Video of the catch shows the man’s remarkable balance and hand-eye coordination as he beat a fellow supporter to take the catch with his right hand despite balancing a beer in his left.

After completing the catch he can be seen throwing firstly the ball into the air and then his beer before running to the bottom of the hill to celebrate with his friends.

The man will win a share of a $240,000 prize pool because he was wearing a sponsor’s orange t-shirt while taking the brilliant grab.

However, if Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum lifts the World Cup at the MCG on March 29 then the man will become an instant millionaire.
