The Ashes rivalry explored in documentary Forged in Fire

To mark the start of the 2017/18 Ashes series, 9Now will feature a three-part documentary Forged in Fire highlighting the intense rivalry over The Urn. 

The series includes exclusive interviews with some of the greatest names in cricket, including Shane Warne, Ian Botham, Justin Langer, Andrew Strauss, David Boone, Ian Chappell, Bill Lawry, Michael Vaughan, Adam Gilchrist, and Jeff Thomson.

It's a no holds barred documentary exploring the rivalry, the legends and characters of some of the most memorable Ashes encounters. 

In the first episode Allan Border lays it out the mentality of the Ashes as "England still feel like they rule Britannia".

For David Boone, he always felt the English sides thought Australia were lesser.

"(That) we're convicts," he said.
