Tasmanian bowlers must find mark: Marsh

Last season it was Tasmania's batsmen who copped ongoing criticism, but coach Dan Marsh admits the side's bowling outfit could also use some work.

After suffering a three-wicket loss to Queensland at Bellerive Oval in a Sheffield Shield match predominantly controlled by the Tigers, Marsh said the blame is evenly spread across the team.

"We talked about the length we wanted to bowl on this wicket and we couldn't deliver it," he said.

Queensland were able to reach the 273-run target needed for victory, with the hosts' full-strength and experienced bowling group unable to breakthrough a young opposition.

"We need to start bowling teams out and the only way we're going to do that is if all of our (bowlers) bowl as a group for sessions and days and however long it takes to get these wickets," Marsh said.

"At the moment we're just erring from our length ... we need everyone on board hitting the right areas."

A batting collapse on Monday which included the loss of five wickets for 25 runs across six overs, did not help Tasmania's cause.

The Tigers have two losses for the season and meet NSW for round three, starting Saturday, in a match that won't be played at the SCG due to unsafe pitch conditions.
