Lynn smashes five sixes in a row

Chris Lynn has again pressed his claims for national selection with a quick-fire half-century for the Brisbane Heat who belted Melbourne Stars in their Big Bash League clash at the MCG.

The BBL's leading run-scorer bludgeoned a remarkable five sixes in a row from Ben Hilfenhaus' first over of the evening before he was dismissed for 56 runs from 24 balls - caught at long-off by Rob Quiney off the bowling of Adam Zampa.

Lynn smashed seven sixes in his third half-century of this campaign to take his BBL05 total to 27.

He shared a 79-run partnership with Lendl Simmons (44 runs from 35 balls) as the Heat posted a score of 7-188 from their 20 overs.

Zampa was the best of the Stars bowlers with 2-31 from his four overs.
