Starc takes incredible one-handed catch

Mitchell Starc has used every bit of his 1.97m frame to take an incredible one-handed catch in Australia’s 106-run World Cup warm-up win over India.

Footage from Adelaide Oval on Sunday shows Indian captain MS Dhoni hook a Pat Cummins delivery to fine leg off the first ball of his innings.

The shot appears to be travelling for six until Starc extends his go-go gadget right arm to take the catch above his head with just one hand.

Starc’s effort was part of an improved Australian fielding effort after David Warner backed up his century with a brilliant diving effort to run out Suresh Raina from point.

Earlier, Warner had brought up his hundred off just 80 deliveries before being out done by Glenn Maxwell, who reached three figures in just 53 balls, as Australia were bowled out for 371.

Cummins was then the chief destroyer for Australia, the paceman finishing with three wickets as India were dismissed for 265.
