Sri Lanka paceman Shaminda Eranga has been reported for using a suspect bowling action during his team's nine-wicket loss to England in the second Test and will have to undergo testing within 14 days.

The International Cricket Council issued a statement on Tuesday saying match officials had concerns over the legality of the 29-year-old Eranga's action and had been in contact with Sri Lanka team management.

The ICC says Eranga will be allowed to continue bowling until the results of the testing are known.

England clinched the three-Test series 2-0 ahead of the third match, which starts at Lord's on June 9.

Eranga took 0-100 in the first innings of the second Test and bowled only one over in the second innings.

He has taken 53 wickets in 18 Tests since his debut in 2011.
