When: 4.40pm AWST, Tuesday, January 24

Where: WACA, Perth

Key players:

Scorchers - Michael Klinger. The 36-year-old is his side's leading run scorer of BBL06 with 256. He has two half-centuries - 81 against Brisbane and 72 against the Renegades (both Perth wins). If the opener gets off to a flyer, the Scorchers are hard to beat.

Stars - Kevin Pietersen. Australian ODI selectors have robbed the Stars of middle-order batting quality, increasing the responsibility on the prolific No.3's shoulders. He's the Stars' leading run scorer with 263 despite missing the first game of BBL06.

Semi-final 2 - Brisbane Heat (2nd) v Sydney Sixers (3rd)

When: 6.40pm AEST, Wednesday, January 25

Where: The Gabba, Brisbane

Heat - Brendon McCullum. With big-hitting star Chris Lynn out injured, the Heat skipper's importance can't be understated. McCullum has smashed 277 runs in seven games, including three half-centuries, in BBL06 at a brisk strike rate of 170.99.

Sixers - Sean Abbott. The Sixers seamer has taken the most wickets in BBL06 with 16 scalps from seven games, including best figures of 5-16 against the Strikers. He'd taken more wickets than he had scored runs going into the final game of the regular season, but blasted the Sixers into the semis with an unbeaten 33 against the Stars.
