* Became only the third person to notch back-to-back ODI tons (171no, 124) against Australia in Australia; others were England's Graeme Hick and India's VVS Laxman

* Highest ODI score (124) by an Indian opener against Australia at the Gabba, eclipsing Sachin Tendulkar's 91 in March 2008

* Equal fourth-highest ODI score overall at the Gabba

* Sharma helped India reach 8-308, the third-highest ODI total in Brisbane

* Sharma shared the third-highest ODI stand against Australia at the Gabba (125 runs with Virat Kohli, 59)
