Cricket: Shane Warne bested by comedians
The world's best batsmen have for years tried to find the weak point in the armoury of arguably the world's greatest spin bowler of all time – Shane Warne.
They only had to make him laugh.
Comedic duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee showed their batting prowess when they faced the 'King of Spin' in the nets during the lunch break of the third day of the Boxing Day Test.
Appearing in a segment for 'The Cricket Show', Blake and Lee took turns to battle against a man who bamboozled a generation of batsmen and sits second on the list of all-time wicket takers with 708 Test scalps.
But the television and radio stars relished the challenge and proved they were no slouches at the crease.
Lee decided attack was the best form of defence and charged down the pitch before belting a ball into the top of the net, while Blake bowled over the Channel Nine commentary team after running around a delivery and smashing it through the covers.
