Test paceman Pattinson out injured again

Injury-plagued Australian paceman James Pattinson won't play cricket again this domestic season because of shin soreness.

Pattinson suffered a recurrence of left shin soreness in the recent second Test against New Zealand in Christchurch and had scans on Monday in Melbourne.

"These scans have shown some inflammation around the shin consistent with bone stress. James will now require some time off to allow this injury to resolve and will not be available for the remainder of the domestic cricket season," Cricket Australia physiotherapist David Beakley said on Tuesday in a statement.
