No green-eyed monster: Hobart curator

Hobart curator Marcus Pamplin has played down concerns of a "green-eyed monster" being unleashed in Australia's first Test against the West Indies on Thursday.

There were fears the three-Test series opener would not reach a fourth day after a green top was revealed to media on Monday.

However, Pamplin tipped whoever won the toss would opt to bat.

"I think the ball will come through to the batsman, it will be pretty tough the first session then it will be a nice batting track," he said.
