Mark Taylor's tribute to 'late, great mate' Shane Warne during Big Freeze at the 'G
Former Australian cricket captain Mark Taylor has paid tribute to the late Shane Warne, donning his famous wide-brimmed hat and sunscreen combo as part of the Big Freeze at the 'G.
With sunscreen all across his nose and lips, Taylor went down the slide into the icy water, ahead of the King's Birthday AFL clash between Melbourne and Collingwood.
Taylor was the 10th and last slider, joking that it is where Warne always should have batted.

"He set this ground alight many times. It's great to be here and support a great cause and honour my late, great mate Shane Warne," Taylor told Channel Seven.
The legendary Aussie opener joined Olympic swimmer Arianne Titmus, Collingwood great Peter Daicos, filmmaker Matt Nable, former Olympic sprinter Matt Shirvington, netballer Liz Watson, Australian cricket captain Alyssa Healy, former Dees star Aaron Davey, Tour de France winner Cadel Evans and Supercars champion Craig Lowndes.

"It's nice to be able to help out in a small way," Taylor told 2GB on Monday morning.
"I've actually known the Danihers for a while. We hail from a similar part of the world.
"I feel a bit of a connection there."

The 11th edition of Big Freeze at the 'G was a special one, with Melbourne and Collingwood players providing a guard of honour for the man himself, Neale Daniher.
The cause aims to raise funds to support research and provide support for those living with motor neurone disease (MND).
