Michael Clarke becomes a dad

Former Australia cricket captain Michael Clarke is reportedly celebrating the birth of his first child.

Clarke's wife, Kyly, gave birth to a daughter overnight, according to the Today Show.The girl, whose name is not yet known, was born five weeks premature, but is said to be doing well.

Michael and Kyly dated for 18 months before marrying in May, 2012.

Clarke retired from all forms of international cricket after Australia's miserable Ashes defeat, in England, earlier this year.

He scored 8,643 runs in 115 Tests for Australia at an average of 49.10, with an almost equally as impressive average of 44.58 from 245 ODI matches that yielded 7,981 runs.
