Lynn expects Heat to fire in BBL

Brisbane captain Chris Lynn firmly believes the Heat can spark a winning run similar to that which lifted them to the Big Bash League title.

The Heat head into Tuesday's match against Hobart at the Gabba knowing nothing less than a win will do.

After being smashed by Perth in their last outing, the Heat are last on the competition ladder with no wins from three starts this summer.

But Lynn says it's simply a matter of execution and is confident his squad has what it takes to still find its way back into the finals.

In the 2012-13 campaign, the Heat lost three of their first four matches before winning five of their next six appearances to take out the title.

It remains the only time Brisbane have qualified for the Big Bash semi-finals.

"We've got to win four out of five now," Lynn said.

"We've done it before in the past so there's no reason we can't do it again.

"I believe we've got the right plans in place and if a couple of guys can fire, that's all we're after in Twenty20 cricket."

The Heat have made two changes with rookie left-handed batsman Sam Heazlett replacing injured Nick Buchanan (Achilles) while paceman Luke Feldman is in line for his first start of the tournament after recovering from a finger injury.

Hobart head north with just one win to their name - against the Heat at home last week.

The Hurricanes take an unchanged squad from that victory to Brisbane, with skipper Tim Paine to lead a strong batting lineup that includes former Test stars Darren Sammy and Kumar Sangakkara.
