Hurricanes-Thunder WBBL match washed out

The weather has been the winner in Tasmania, where the WBBL match between the Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder has been abandoned without a ball being bowled.

The no-result on Saturday at West Park in Burnie puts the Thunder in provisional first spot and takes the Hurricanes to third on the ladder.

Both teams are scheduled to face off again on Sunday at the same ground where conditions are meant to improve, according to weather forecasts.
