Shahid Afridi crashed half-centuries in the semi-final and final and fittingly scampered through for the winning run, a leg bye, in the Lord's decider. Australia were toppled by West Indies and Sri Lanka in a miserable campaign that lasted just three days.

Michael Hussey clobbered 60 off 24 balls as Australia hauled in a victory target of 192 in their semi-final against Pakistan. But they were unable to defend 6-147 in the final at Bridgetown.
