Hales fined for dissent over dismissal

England opener Alex Hales has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee for breaching the ICC code of conduct during the fourth and final Test match against Pakistan.

The ICC said in a statement that Hales visited third umpire Joel Wilson's room after he was adjudged to have been caught low at square leg by Yasir Shah for six at the Oval in his side's first innings.

Hales "made some inappropriate comments" while he was leaving the room during the first day's play on Thursday, the ICC said.

Hales admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Richie Richardson of the West Indies.
