Pakistan offspinner Mohammad Hafeez has been given the green light to resume his international career.

Hafeez was suspended by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in November 2017 after his bowling action was deemed to be illegal - the third time it had been reported.

However, following remedial work and reassessment at Loughborough University, it was revealed that the 37-year-old's elbow extension in his action was within the 15-degree level of tolerance permitted under ICC regulations.

Hafeez is now available to Pakistan but will be monitored by match officials, who will be provided with images and video footage of his remodelled legal bowling action.

Meanwhile, West Indies fast bowler Ronsford Beaton has been suspended from international cricket after failing an independent assessment on his action.

He was reported during the second ODI against New Zealand in Christchurch on Christmas Eve.

Beaton can apply for a reassessment after modifying his action.
