Casual catch before diving miss

A fan in the crowd has shown masterful hands during the Boxing Day Test at the MCG pulling off a spectacular one handed catch.

Pakistani bowler Sohail Kahn was going through a purple patch with the bat hitting sixes at will while Azar was notching up a batting record for Pakistan up the other end.

The tourists were running amok from the crease and causing all sorts of problems for Australia in the field.

Sohail kept sending the ball into pretty much into the same area in the stands and one cricket fan couldn’t help himself trying to catch the ball.

The fan was at the match with his son, but left all in his wake trying to do what the homeside couldn’t- catch Sohail out.

The fan in the stands had more than one attempt at making the catch but didn’t need too many more.

As the ball sails into the crowd, the keen spectator keeps his eye on the ball and flips out his hand and the ball just dropped into his palm without too much effort.

He tried to pull off another speculator, even jumping over fellow fans to get there but it wasn’t to be.
