Steve Smith and Ellyse Perry claim major honours at ICC Cricketer of the Decade Awards
Australian pair Steve Smith and Ellyse Perry have headlined the ICC's Cricketer of the Decade Awards, with Smith named the Test player of the decade, while Perry was crowned the best women's player of the decade.
Perry's incredible honour came as she also claimed the award for being the best ODI and T20I cricketer of the decade.
While Smith was named the Men's Test Cricketer of the Decade, he was edged out by Indian captain Virat Kohli as the Male Cricketer of the Decade, with Kohli taking out the Sir Garfield Sobers Aawrd.
Kohli was also named the Men's ODI Cricketer of the Decade, while Afghanistan's Rashid Khan was named the Men's T20I Cricketer of the Decade.

Smith took out the Test award from a pool of seven nominees which included England's James Anderson and Joe Root, Kohli, Rangana Herath, Yasir Shah and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.
The Australia superstar scored a stupendous 7042 runs at an average of 64.60 in the qualifying period, slamming 26 centuries. Kohli was the only player to score more Test centuries than Smith in the decade, with the Indian skipper notching 27 Test tons.
Perry edged out teammate Meg Lanning, New Zealand's Suzie Bates, England's Sarah Taylor, India's Mithali Raj and West Indies' Stefanie Taylor to be named the women's cricketer of the decade.
The Aussie star's decade included centuries in both the Test and ODI format, with a ridiculous Test average of 114.60 and an ODI average of 68.97.
