Cricket: India's Hardik Pandya makes spectacular catch to dismiss Martin Guptill in T20 against NZ

India literally got off to a flying start against New Zealand in their T20I in New Delhi.

In the second over of the visitors' innings Martin Guptill was dismissed by an unbelievable Hardik Pandya catch.

Guptill launched it deep straight down the ground off bowler Yuzvendra Chahal. Without flinching Pandya ran to his right and flew parallel to the ground to make a diving catch with two hands firmly grasping the ball.

Pandya nonchalantly celebrated the out but was immediately congratulated by teammates in awe of the wicket. Later in the innings Pandya would drop Colin Munro but India went on to easily win their T20I match against New Zealand by 53 runs to take a 1-0 series lead.

The teams will face off again for game two of the series on Sunday at 12.30am (AEDT).
