Victorian batsman Cameron White has been felled by a dangerously high beamer from Queensland's Billy Stanlake during the two sides' JLT Cup opener.

White was just four deliveries into his innings when Stanlake, who can ramp up his speeds to the high 140km/h mark, unleashed a delivery that reared into the throat area of White.

The former Australian batsman was floored by the delivery but incredibly recovered well enough to continue his innings.

However, White's recovery was short-lived as he was dismissed for just 10 off a painstaking 35 deliveries.

Despite losing White early, the Bushrangers recovered through half-centuries from fellow Australian limited overs star Glenn Maxwell and Nic Maddinson.

The Victorians recovered from 4-66 to post 240, before bowling out Queensland for 227 to secure a 13-run win.

Victoria's bowling effort was led by its pair of opening bowlers Chris Tremain and Will Sutherland who picked up eight of the 10 Queensland wickets to fall.
