Cricket: Aaron Finch named in Australian Test squad ahead of Pakistan series
Victorian batsman Aaron Finch will make his Test cricket debut as part of Justin Langer’s 15-man squad for Australia’s tour of the UAE.
Langer’s new look squad features five Test debutants - Queensland trio Michael Neser, Brendan Doggett and Marnus Labuschagne, South Australia’s Travis Head and Victoria’s Aaron Finch.
The squad, captained by Tim Paine, will play two Tests against Pakistan on the 7th and 16th of October.
The vice-captain position will be announced by the NSP ahead of the series.

The series marks Australia’s first Test without David Warner and Steve Smith following the infamous ball-tampering scandal earlier this year.
National Selector Trevor Hohns threw his support behind the fresh-faced squad and savoured the upcoming challenge.
“There has been significant change to our Test squad, due to the unavailability of a number of key players,” Hohns said.
“That said, we firmly believe the squad selected is up to the challenge ahead, and is capable of playing a brand of cricket that can perform well in this series against Pakistan.

“Aaron is in sensational form, and this is the right time to give him a chance to play Test cricket. He has performed well in the Sheffield Shield in recent seasons, and brings added experience and leadership to this group.
MORE TO COME.
