Clarke reveals hidden talent at media conference

Michael Clarke is a man of many talents.

He can bat, captain, star in TV adverts, model underwear and he can, err, do a great fishing rod sound effect.

He revealed his hidden talent in the media conference following Australia’s World Cup victory over Sri Lanka, when he was asked a question about Shane Watson’s recall after the all-rounder was dropped against Afghanistan in Perth.

“Can I just ask one question about Shane Watson? Is it confusing for the team at all why Shane wasn’t there in Perth and was back today?” The journalist asked.

Clarke responded to the question by doing a brilliant fishing rod sound affect as he pretended to throw a line out into the water.

“I don’t think so Ben, I’m not going there. The selectors pick the best 11 players and my job is to get the best out of the 11 players,” Clarke said.“No chance I’m getting hold of that hook.”

Clarke is a keen fisherman away from the field and has obviously spent many an hour perfecting the talent while on the water.
