The lopsided Test series against the Windies may hold limited interest for fans but Australia's pursuit of the world No.1 ranking ensures players won't slacken off on Boxing Day.
Australia briefly held the mantle last year and vice-captain David Warner said on Wednesday that his third-ranked team were desperate to climb the International Cricket Council's ladder again.

Australia walloped the Windies in the first Test in Hobart by an innings and 212 runs and are expected to win with similar ease in the second Test at the MCG starting on Saturday.
